Jasen Thorpe

Jasen founded Thorpe Marketing in 2010 after recognizing the market need & having the desire to better serve the people and companies he has come to know and appreciate during a 25+ year career in the cycling and media industries. His experience extends from North America to Europe and Asia, bridges marketing, sales and product development roles with leading companies in both industries and includes: publishing and editorial leadership positions with Rodale Inc.; time as Consumer Marketing Group Manager for Shimano American Corporation; manufacturing, research & development and product management experience with Dah Ken Industrial; and retail experience with two of the largest cycling retailers. When he isn't plotting, planning, or otherwise agitating on behalf of Thorpe Marketing’s clients, you’ll find Jasen building and riding stupid-technical cross country mountain bike trails, playing soccer with his boy, and exploring Colorado’s Front Range with his wife. Jasen’s primary points of weakness, should you need to exploit them, involve espresso, Mexican beers, smoked blue cheese, and Super-Tuscan wines as bold and earthy as the cellars in which they’ve been stored.

Liz VerHoeven

Liz comes to Thorpe Marketing with 15 years of media marketing, research, events, social and content experience. Her career includes a tenure in the East Coast publishing world, which led her to follow her passion by working for the top media brands in the ski and outdoor industries in Boulder, CO.
She grew up in the Pacific Northwest enjoying the outdoors despite the weather, skiing, camping, and hiking. In her spare time, you'll find Liz playing hard with her husband, two boys and the family pup. Liz loves to travel to new places, try craft beer, plan and host celebrations with her friends and family, and cannot live without coffee or baked goods.

Chris Baddick

Chris Baddick came to Colorado for the skiing and stayed for the cycling. He's a British transplant that was lured in by sunshine and trails, and has made Boulder his home. Chris started off on a promising career in science, before finding his way into communications and copywriting roles within the cycling and outdoor industries, as he combined his passion for sport with his training in physiology. When he's not in front of a computer, you'll find him racing every kind of bike he can get his hands on, and investing time in the next generation of outdoor enthusiasts, working as a volunteer coach for several different youth sports organizations in Colorado.

Sarah Lukas

Born and raised in Wisconsin, Sarah’s sense of adventure has lead her to surf the waves of Australia, walk The Great Wall of China, and cycle the streets of London, before yielding to the siren call of Colorado. With an M.B.A. in International Business, Sarah’s career has included work with leading media, manufacturing, retail and nutrition brands: VeloNews, Trek Bicycles, Competitive Cyclist, and Skratch Labs.
When she isn't commuting by bike with her bulldogs Habernasch and Finnigan, meticulously weighing her morning coffee, or sipping a smooth whiskey, you’ll find Sarah at the start line of most any elite-level cycling competition, in Colorado’s Front Range and beyond.

Carlie Mock

Carlie stems from Bentonville, Arkansas, where she was raised with the freedom to explore the outdoors and all that includes. Naturally, this led to a life filled with mountain biking. Staying true to her mantra to always give back, Carlie contributed to the creation of the Arkansas Mountain Bike chapter of the International Mountain Bicycling Association (IMBA). She then turned that volunteer work into a career working for IMBA which brought her to Boulder, Colorado, and eventually to Thorpe Marketing. When she’s not behind a desk, you’ll find her continuing her volunteering efforts: coaching NICA high school students, creating an encouraging community for women mountain bikers and assistant-coaching para-nordic skiers with Adaptive Sports.

Jed Rogers

Jed is our native Texan graphic designer and logo guru. Early in his career, he was lucky enough to have been mentored by the good folks at Suka Design, New York, Landor Associates, New York, The Decoder Ring Design Concern, Austin and Sibley Peteet Design Austin. During that time, Jed gained valuable experience by working with clients such as New York University, The United Negro College Fund, Council on Foreign Relations, Modest Mouse, AMD, and SXSW. When he's not drawing logos or creating brands, you can bet he's probably riding one of his many bicycles. From BMX to Track Bikes and everything in between, he's spent some time pushing the limits on all of them. He even used to shoot photos for BMX magazines while traveling the country being a "PRO".
