Jasen Thorpe

Jasen founded Thorpe Marketing in 2010 after recognizing the market need & having the desire to better serve the people and companies he has come to know and appreciate during a 25+ year career in the cycling and media industries. His experience extends from North America to Europe and Asia, bridges marketing, sales and product development roles with leading companies in both industries and includes: publishing and editorial leadership positions with Rodale; time as Consumer Marketing Group Manager for Shimano American Corporation; manufacturing, research & development and product management experience with Dah Ken Industrial; and retail experience. When he isn't plotting, planning, or otherwise agitating on behalf of Thorpe Marketing’s clients, you’ll find Jasen building and riding stupid-technical cross country mountain bike trails, competing in Judo with his son, and exploring Colorado’s Front Range with his wife.

Katie Macarelli

Account manager, Katie Macarelli is a Colorado Native. Having grown up on a still operating dairy farm in eastern Colorado, she only came to know and love all the outdoorsiness the Front Range has to offer while attending CU Boulder.

Katie’s experience in the cycling industry snowballed from a general love of cycling. She’s previously held roles in advocacy/education, cycling-specific media, and marketing (though she prefers the term “brand building.”) She does her homework--researching a brand and its community to find its heart and eventually tell the story.

As she specializes in social media and public speaking, you’re just as likely to catch a live-feed from her on Twitter as you are to hear her announcing at a bike race, always aiming to entertain, inform and inspire.

When she’s not riding a bike (in every kind of weather/ somewhere near or around her home in Golden, Colorado) you can find her working in her garden, baking to 80’s music or attempting to get exercise at a sporting event of one of her teenage daughters.

Anne-Marije Rook

Born in The Netherlands and raised in three countries, Anne-Marije comes to Thorpe Marketing with 12 years of media experience under her belt and countless bike miles in her legs. She grew up a bike commuter and found racing in her early twenties. She competed at the elite level in various disciplines while continuing to build a successful media and communications career.

These days she’s less about competition and all about adventuring, yet there’s hardly a day that goes by when she’s not found pedaling. When she’s not working or playing on bikes, you can find her devouring books, enjoying the Pacific Northwest’s lush forests, drinking copious amounts of coffee, sampling Portland’s many craft brews, doting on her nephew, at women’s sporting events or expanding her cultural horizons. 

Linda Thorpe

Linda joined Thorpe Marketing, well, at the beginning, founding the agency with Jasen. In addition to being a well-rounded, outdoor-loving Coloradan who can regularly be found on skis, snowshoes or hiking, when not riding dirt roads on her cyclocross bike, Linda is a former competitive swimmer and holds a yoga studies degree from UC Irvine, making her perhaps the most Boulder™ qualified of the entire Thorpe team. She’s as solid as they come behind the camera or in front of a Quickbooks file, but it’s the care and attention that she provides to Thorpe clients, vendors and staff that make her such an important part of our team. 

Phillip Ball

Born and raised mostly in the midwest, Phillip moved west as soon as he could. He attended the University of Colorado - Boulder where he earned a BS in Journalism and a minor in Geology. There was also a fair bit of bike riding and snowboarding that happened in those years as well, exploring the best the mountains of Colorado has to offer.

His early career was spent running summer camps, raising money and program development for a non-profit before moving on to a retail marketing and merchandising service provider focused on big box sporting goods and outdoor. Most recently, hes spent time leading sales and marketing for a custom bicycle manufacturer. When not sitting at a computer working, you'll find him riding his bike or adventuring with his family anywhere from a quick afternoon ski trip or travelling to see his family in the midwest or his wife's family in the Netherlands. 

Jed Rogers

Jed is our native Texan graphic designer and logo guru. Early in his career, he was lucky enough to have been mentored by the good folks at Suka Design, New York, Landor Associates, New York, The Decoder Ring Design Concern, Austin and Sibley Peteet Design Austin. He has over ten years of experience creating fresh new brands for start-ups, mom'n'pop businesses, and also re-branding Fortune 500 businesses. When he's not drawing logos or creating brands, you can bet he's probably driving his classic sports car across the country or trying to get rad on one of his many bicycles. From BMX to Downhill and everything in between, he's spent some time pushing the limits on all of them. He even used to shoot photos for BMX magazines while traveling the country being a "PRO" in the early 2000's.
